Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it openly and say what changed.
Our policy
We correct material factual errors as quickly as we can. The corrected story carries a note explaining what was changed and when, and every earlier published version is preserved in our records. We distinguish:
- Corrections — an error of fact has been fixed;
- Updates — significant new information has been added;
- Clarifications — wording has been made clearer without changing the facts.
To report an error, contact the newsroom with a link to the story and what you believe is wrong. Include any evidence you can share.
